Introducing...........
Hello Everyone!!! I have finally gotten a chance to upload some pics - Here are the stats for those that don't know:
I started having contractions at about 3:00pm on Friday 2/10 - Of course - I just figured they were gas pains - what the hell do I know. On Saturday the 11th, I even tried to go into work - it lasted for all of an hour or so and then we went to the hospital where my contractions were 1-2 minutes apart (yeah - leave it to me - I know!)
Nicholas Henry Mensche entered the world at 11:53 am weighing in at 6 lbs 8 oz and 19.25 inches long (they first told us he was only 18 inches - but a week later he is 19.25 - so I think the Hospital got it wrong!)
Nicky's sister Jennifer Rose Mensche followed two minutes later at 11:55 am at a petite 4 lbs 15 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. Jenny tried to bite the doctor's fingers when she came out.
Unfortunately, I had a placental abruption and Nicky swallowed alot of blood and had to be taken to the NICU - he was a tough little sucker and he was able to come upstairs with us on Monday night.
So far - Nicky is the high maintenance one and Jenny is insanely mellow - guess she takes after her Daddy!
Joey is totally smitten with his brother and sister and very protective too - Daddy is totally in awe.
I am doing fine - a little sore but nothing a few good motrin won't fix.
Both babies were a little jaundice but don't need light therapy - they are a week old today - I can't believe it!!!!

Update and Hellos
Well, here I am 35 weeks and 6 days - I am getting bigger by the day but that is ok - It is almost over - and then the real hard work begins.
I had a doctor's appointment Tuesday:
Fluid is good
Blood Pressure Perfect
Gained 3 lbs in a week (O MY GOD)
My son is weighing in around 5 lbs 15 oz.
My daughter is weiging in around 5 lbs 11 oz - both are over the 50 percent tile which is fantastic for twins.
My C-Section is still scheduled for the 15th at 1:30 - my doctor couldn't get an earlier time because there are conferences that day - my only other option would have been to deliver on the 13th but I wanted to keep the date on Joe's birthday.
My last day of work is Saturday the 11th - everyone says I am crazy for working up until the last minute but the longer I work while I am pregnant the longer I can be home with the babies.
My husband got a new job - the hours are pretty perfect - T, W, F, S, S from 3 - 10 - when I go back to work I will work the mornings and he will work nights - it will be rough on us but it is important to not have to ship the babies off to a sitter every day so we will manage.
My shower is this Saturday - not that I am supposed to know about it - LOL - my boss had a big post it in his day planner - when I was figuring out scheduling I saw it - OOPS! I didn't register for many things - I have a lot of stuff left over from Joey.
We are almost done with the changes to the house (we are making downstairs a play room) I will be happy and relieved when that is over.
One of my best friends is having her baby today via C-Section - it is her first - we are all so excited for her. We met for dinner last week and she bought me my cradle sets:
Jenny's Cradle Set
Nicki's Cradle Set
Of course now, Joey wants a new bed set - which I agreed to - he is going to get Batman. Joey is getting so excited but he is still upset that I will have to spend time in the hospital. I am sure he will be fine - but he doesn't like to talk about it.
I have been bad at commenting on blogs lately and I am sorry - I have been in absolute sleep mode lately - it seems I can fall asleep anytime and anywhere - except for at night in my own bed!
Ally - I am so happy that you are finally getting to San Antonio - I am also glad that you will be seeing that RE - he sounds really good!
Lesley - I am glad that you have been updating - I 've missed you! I hope Ayden had a good first day of school and that you didn't cry to much!
Chas - Sammy is absolutely beautiful - I can't wait to see more pics!
Jamie - How cool is it that your husband is a cartoon character? I will be watching out for him on Sunday. Good luck with the new method this month!
Jess - Power of Prayer - absolutely! I hope you are doing better - I will try to update more.
Heather - What a cutie Ashton is! I can understand you being so nervous - it should go away by the time he is 45 or so!
Heather - not too much longer to go! Good luck to you!
Liz - I am waiting to hear that Nemo and Frosty stuck like crazy! Good luck to you!
Jenny - Haven't heard much from you - hope you are doing ok.
Jenna - I am sorry things have been difficult lately - I hope everything works out for you.
To anyone I missed - I hope everyone is doing well and this year turns out to be a magical one for all.
Well, I guess I should get to work now! Have a good day!
Love,
Jenn
